Spero's SasF Pickles
This recipe is brought to you from the fine, very high gentleman in the kitchen at Charleston’s Spero, may it rest in peace. This recipe was shared with me on one of their final nights of service in 2018.
Ingredients
Brine
1 q cider vinegar
1 q water
1 c sugar
Seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp salt
1 habanero
1 tsp white pepper
Spices to Taste
½ c red pepper flake
¼ c cracked black pepper
1 tbsp + 1 tsp ancho chili powder
Veg
5 lbs pickling cucumbers
Instructions
Pickle the cucumbers in the other shit.
