Nerd by birth; chemist by training. Self-employed IT Consultant by trade. So, yeah, nerd. 

Other interests include food, wine, technology, animals, design, and wine.

I grew up in Hartsville, SC, and went to Clemson University, graduating in 2006.  I came back to Hartsville for a position as an R&D Chemist specializing in materials analysis, reverse engineering, and pocket protectors. I did that for eight years before striking out on my own to form an independent IT Consulting company, Bear Squared, in 2016.

As a self-employed IT consultant, I specialize in data analytics and visualization alongside small business tech support including web development, e-commerce, and POS systems.

Outside of the office, I love my community and have enjoyed being a part of the amazing growth and development in Hartsville. Serving with Main Street Hartsville, the Hartsivlle Planning Commission, and other organizations has been rewarding and exhausting.

I have cats. I'm a cat guy.

Nobody Beats the Wiz!

I'm a Wiz with some other things, too:

I'm an expert on using and administering MS Office 365 suite products including Excel, Power BI, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, and SharePoint. I'm experienced with Apple's productivity products including Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

I have pro skills for Windows, macOS, and iOS hardware and software. I'm familiar with HTML and CSS and have built and still maintain several websites using Wordpress and Squarespace. I'm also familiar with Agile, database administration, and Yammer enterprise social as well.

In my former life as an analytical chemist in the consumer packaging industry, I specialized in polymer and analytical chemistry including thermal analysis, molecular spectroscopy, and optical and electron microscopy as well as process and method development for those and related techniques.
